My fitness journey: #MyMarchMarathon update #2

Week number 2 has progressed pretty well, and I have been able to move and add to my miles. I am feeling stronger, and I look forward to my time on the treadmill! A couple of times I have been able to get outside to walk, which has be quite refreshing.

However, this challenge hasn’t been without its bumps in the road. I have had to battle with a bit of a tender left heel, the origins of which are unclear. Therefore, adjustments in my plans to run have had to be made. I had envisioned myself running a lot more this week, but I’ve had to throttle back a bit and walk and rest. Nevertheless, I am not injured, so I’m grateful to be able to keep moving forward in my quest for 26.2 😉

One tool that has helped me has been my new little gadget, the Omron Alvita wireless tracker. I will have a lot more to say about it later in my full review, but for now, I will just say that it has helped me so much to track my steps accurately and seamlessly. This has kept me motivated and in the game as far as racking up my miles. Yay Omron!

Incidentally, I have also been tracking my caloric intake, and I’ll share that experience in the next update.

Onward and upward!

Dee
