Tracking my steps has never been easier.

I know that sounds like a commercial tag line, but this is the absolute truth about the Omron Alvita wireless fitness tracker. I had the pleasure of trying it out during last month’s #MyMarchMarathon fitness challenge {feel free to read about my experience here}. My goal was to log 26.2 miles in the month of March. I did it, and the success was due in large part to this handy device!

Alvita is the latest release from Omron, and when I saw it advertised, I knew I wanted to try it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed, and here is why:

The Alvita is, like I mentioned before, SO handy! As you can see in the photo, it fits in the palm of my hand. On the back, there is a sturdy metal clip that works like a gem at allowing you to clip it on my pants, my shorts, or even my purse strap. There is also an alternate back that comes in the package that allows you to just put the Alvita in your bag and track your movement that way.

This device gives you vital info right on the little screen. At any given moment I can tap the screen, and it will show me the time, steps, aerobic steps (walking, running, other continuous motion activities), miles logged, and calories burned. I can scroll thru each with a light tap on the screen. When it isn’t in use, the screen is in a sleep mode to conserve power.

This wireless tracker has its own app, and it communicates with it via the Bluetooth connection on my phone. How cool and easy is that? I think this is my favorite feature, hands down. When I am ready to upload my progress from the device to the app, I shake the tracker to wake it up, sync it with the app, and voila! My info is transferred to and displayed in the app. I can see a visual displays of steps takes, miles traveled, calories burned and aerobic steps taken. And I think the device stores up to 14 days worth of data, just in case you are delayed in syncing it to the app. In addition, you can view your progress by day, week, month, and for the year. I am a visual person, so this is so helpful to keeping me motivated!

As you can tell, I am so pleased with the functionality and performance of the Omron Alvita tracker. I think that my only complaint is that I have to make sure to tap the screen at the right angle and pressure to get it to toggle through the different data points. Other than that, it is perfect and just what I need.

I like to keep it simple and streamlined when it comes to a fitness tracker, and the Alvita gets it done for me. It is a tech savvy device for those such as myself who like that. And it is just cute to wear or carry! 😉 Click the link here to find out more about purchasing one for yourself:
