{This is a sponsored post. I received this complimentary bouquet of fresh flowers for the purposes of enjoyment and review…all opinions expressed are my very own :)}

I love to hear the sound of a delivery being made to our house. Whether I am expecting something or not, I get a little giddy when goodies arrive …especially for me 🙂

This package arrived a couple of days ago with a slight thud up against my front door (which I will mention in context later), and I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter opened the door, thanked the delivery dude, and brought the package around to the kitchen for me to see:

Bloomsybox arrived!

For those who may not know, Bloomsybox is a Farm-to-table subscription service that will send you FRESH flowers right to your home (or office), which is something different from anything I have seen before when it comes to flower delivery. What exactly does”Farm-to-table” mean?

Check out how they explain it on their site:

When we say farm-to-table, we mean that we really do bring your flowers from the farm to your table.  This is the traditional timeline for how a flower arrangement gets to your door here in the states:

Day 1: Flowers are harvested and packed at the farm
Day 2: Flowers are delivered via refrigerated truck to the airport
Day 3: Flowers fly from the airport to a large flower importer
Day 4: Flowers are kept at the importer’s warehouse for 3-4 days
Day 7-8: Flowers are shipped via refrigerated truck to wholesalers. This process takes around 2-4 days.
Day: 9+: The wholesalers sell the flowers to retailers
Day 10+: The wholesalers sell the flowers to you.

By the time the average flower arrangement gets to you, it’s been sitting in a fridge for more than a week! Now, consider our method of purchasing flowers.

Day 1: Flowers are harvested and packed at the farm
Day 2: Flowers are delivered to the airport via refrigerated truck
Day 3: Flowers fly from the airport to large importer
Day 4: Flowers clear customs, and are shipped via Fedex directly to your door.

We eliminate the middlemen in order to ensure that you get your flower ASAP, with minimal refrigeration and storage.

So when I say they were fresh, that is exactly what arrived at my door: fresh, beautiful mini calla lilies! {here is the brief unboxing that my daughter and I did when my box arrived}:

I am pretty much in love with this service, for real. Those calla lilies are just gorgeous!

Here are some of my thoughts on the box that I received :

  • As I mentioned before, these flowers arrived absolutely fresh
  • They were nicely packaged…excellent eye-appeal
  • The flowers were anchored in the box and secured for any delivery no matter how rough (as I mentioned earlier, we heard the delivery guy toss it against the door when it arrived lol)
  • They smelled and looked good, all green and white, like I had just gone into my flower bed and cut them myself 🙂
  • The box included food and instructions on how to set up the flowers in a vase to last a while
  • I love, LOVE the fact that these are sustainable, gorgeous flowers that benefit me as a customer and the flower farmers too

May daughter worked in putting them in a vase for me:

Here is a progression of Day 1 when they first arrived to today, Day 3:

Haven’t they just blossomed and livened? Beautiful.

I encourage you to go to their site to see what they offer. There are several hand-picked, single-variety bouquets to choose from for your subscription. In addition, Bloomsybox offers 3 different monthly subscription plans that range from $34.99/month to $48.99/month. {The smallest bouquet size is 12-18 stems and the biggest is 20-30 stems.} You also can set up flowers to be delivered to you weekly or bi-weekly, which is really lovely if you enjoy having fresh flowers in your home or office as something that rejuvenates your senses. Here is where you can find out more information about the services that Bloomsybox.com offers: https://bloomsybox.com/howitworks

I really think this is such wonderful subscription service for anyone who: a) loves fresh flowers, b) loves the idea of sustainability and getting flowers directly from suppliers in places such as Holland, Thailand, South America and California, and c) loves having seasonal flowers at hand for their own enjoyment, or knows someone who does.

I do hope you check out Bloomsybox.com and all that they offer 🙂 Now I am off to enjoy my mini calla lilies!

Blooming happiness,
