This year was preparation for a great 2015!

I am really optimistic about 2015, for me and for my family.

I have to say that I am thankful for 2014 and all that I’ve experienced. We’ve had some fun and memorable times as a family, and I have endeavors to stay present in those moments. We have had some struggles that we have had to pray about and work together as a team on. In the midst of those struggles, God has been faithful to change my way perspective, my attitude, and my ways. We have had moments when there seemed to be nothing, absolutely nothing, moving or breaking through. In those times, I have learned how stand on what God says about the situation and keep moving forward until what He says comes to pass.

As far as blogging, I have met consistent writing goals, attended my first full bloggers’ conference, and have made some beneficial connections. Honestly, some of the opportunities I have enjoyed have not been of my own planning. I thank God for His providence in making them happen for me.

Looking back, it seems as though 2014 has been a year of solidifying some foundational things and truths in my life, and learning how to walk in them consistently. I’ve learned to sow more financially, sow my time, and to listen more. I have learned how to receive from people and to identify when what they have to say is a God-word form my life. (And also to know when not to receive what someone has said, and just let it go in one ear and out the other, and not in my spirit.) I have learned how to hone my skill and my craft, and to help others do the same. I see growth in myself personally and professionally, and I’m eager to see what this growth is in preparation for. I have some desires for what I want to see, what I want to have, where I want to go, in 2015.

As I reflect, I am giving all of 2014 to God, as a thank you and a praise. And I’m giving 2015 to Him as a thank you and in expectation of the good He has planned for me, for us. It will be interesting to see some of things that I’ve experienced and learned come into play in the planning and execution of those plans in the coming year.

I pray that you are have good expectations for 2015. Maybe you need God to heal you from the wounds and hurts of the past year, maybe you need more focus, more direction. Whether it’s a breakthrough or a fresh start, I encourage you to look to the Saviour whose birthday we just celebrated. This is what He thinks of you:

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ NKJV)

His blessings and great expectations,
