Refreshing Review: PinPix bulletin board!

{I received this product at a deep discount. All opinions expressed are my own 🙂 Enjoy!}

Ever since the kids have been in our lives, I have always used some type of bulletin board to keep some semblance of order in our house 🙂 With 3 children whom I homeschooled, I needed to keep things – notes, photos, plans – where I could see them. I am a visual person, and I would rather have tasks where I can see them rather than have them filed away somewhere.

Well, my kids are teens and young adults now, but my style remains the same: I like to be able to post my lists and such to keep them in sight, so that they get done. So I found the PinPix bulletin board pretty helpful when it first arrived:

The board itself is sizable (30 x 20 inches) and I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it was when the box arrived. It is easy to hang up with the sturdy cord and fixtures that are included. It also adds a nice pop of color to any room in which you decide to hang it up 🙂

Now, PinPix has a fairly straightforward description of their product:

  • PinPix is a patent-pending canvas bulletin board created with self-healing technology that limits wear and tear when pricked.

  • PinPix boards are made from high quality canvas with beautiful designs you will be proud to display anywhere in your home.
  • Prick the canvas with a pin to display a recipe, photo, note or clipping
  • Remove the pin and within the space of 48 hours the holes will partially repair themselves due to the self-healing quality of the canvas!

Yes, it is easy to see right off the bat that the board is of high quality canvas – it is sturdy indeed (and they also package it well so that it incurs no damage when shipping). The part that I needed to test out was the “self-healing” quality.  I pinned an item to the board, and then I removed the item and the 2 pins after a day or so, and here are the pinholes that remained:

I waited 48 hours to see how they would heal, and this is the result:

(B) bottom 6/6/16
(B) bottom 6/6/16

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is a definite difference in the two sets of photos, and I can see the self-healing process taking place!

Overall, I think that the PinPix bulletin board is sturdy, well-made, and a great addition to the decor of any room in my house. The self-healing feature is a nice and attractive touch 🙂
