{I received these items for review, and I’m so glad that I did. All opinions expressed are my own…enjoy!}
I had my first experience with L’occitane about three years ago. We were living in Spain for for a short time, and our group took an excursion to the southern part of the country. As we were walking the streets and to visit a cathedral, I spotted the store. After our tour, my whole family and I doubled back to the boutique and I was over the moon!
I love the vibe of L’occitane and the way it makes me feel. Both the in-store experiences I have had and the products themselves are top of the line. So when I was invited to review two items from the new Aqua Réotier line, I very much looked forward to receiving these skincare products.
About the Aqua Réotier Line
From the L’occitane website:
Discover our NEW thirst-quenching, water-based Aqua Réotier Collection, uniquely formulated with 3 powerful ingredients: hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and calcium-rich Réotier spring water derived from the mountains of Provence.
Aqua Réotier Ultra Thirst Quenching Cream
This cream is a cream-gel hybrid, and I love the way it feels on my skin. Also, it smells clean without being overwhelming, very subtle. A little goes a long way, and the generous size of the container gives a lot of product to work with (great value). In addition, it works well in tandem with the Prep Essence (see below) from this line. This cream is also very soothing to my face.
Aqua Réotier Moisture Prep Essence
I am in my late 40s, and I enjoy facial products that help draw moisture to my skin and hold it there. This product is definitely what is says, the prep step for a skincare routine. I had to remember that when I first applied it after washing my face because I was expecting instant moisture after putting it on. That is not what it does! I put it on (just a little does the trick) and it felt almost drying to my combination skin. However, when I applied the next step, the Quenching Cream, I felt moisturized. It did initially, but that uber moisturized feeling dissipated after a while. Other than that, I feel like it does its job in tandem with the cream.
Priced at $29 and $24 respectively, both products are quality and a great value. Find out more about Aqua Réotier here. I will definitely purchase the cream for myself when my sample runs out 🙂
