The pace of my life has picked up a bit since my first post about my Noom journey, and it has included some intense moments. All is well, but I have not had much time to be own my own blog to craft an update! 🙂 Nevertheless, I am taking a few moments here to pause, breathe, and share some of my thoughts. I will share them here in bullet point form, just as I have written them in my journal. Enjoy my brief insights!

- â—¦ {Noom} works in the way you think about your emotions, decisions, and food
- ◦ I haven’t logged food much at all, that was proving to be too taxing for me with other things going on in my home
- â—¦ However, the color coded system for logging helps me to keep in mind what foods I should lean into having more of
- â—¦ No food is inherently good or bad
- â—¦ Changing my thinking about punishment/reward system
- ◦ I haven’t really lost weight, but haven’t really gained any either
- ◦ Letting go of that “I’ve exercised so now I can eat this” mentality, or vice versa
- â—¦ There are other things they teach to be more in tune with what my body is telling me, but that is not necessarily an area I have time or focus to explore
- â—¦ There is something to read everyday to keep you moving toward your goal
- ◦ I’m just proud of myself that I am still in the game after 4+ months!
- â—¦ It challenges me pushed me to change my perspective about life in general
- â—¦ To succeed at this program, to get the most out of it, you need to commit to the processes and psych that is shared and try to put them into practice
- ◦ Admittedly, I didn’t commit fully to every psychological suggestion that was presented (or the food diary) due to other things going on in my life. I felt that if I tried to implement EVERYTHING, I would have felt overloaded. Instead, I have taken what is for me, what I felt I COULD do, and have kept things moving forward for me in that way.
Have you tried Noom? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear them!Â
I’ve not tried it. I do think you’ve made good, wise decisions about implementing their ideas. Any day one doesn’t gain is a good day. 🙌🙌🙌
Their ideas and yours sound ….well….sound.

[…] year, I have been working more intentionally on making improvements to my overall health (check out my fitness journey with Noom here). And so I upped my fitness game even more in November. I knew this vacation was coming up, and so […]
