I have the privilege of having my first guest post, and it is from no one other than our eldest daughter! While a photo blogger in her own right ( lifeonthelens.tumblr.com), she offered to review a trial subscription box that she had ordered from Graze.com. Here are her comments…please give her lots of love as she steps out, thanks!
Initial impressions:
- fun little box
- 4 snacks in each box
- no tape, clear straps that are sturdy, easy to cut/slide off
- LOVELY presentation! Snacks have little cubby holders to keep the box neat
- small portions (possibly due to it being from a sample box)
- single serving portions come in the box
Taste Test ( from each of the 4 selections that came in the sample box):
Herby Bread Basket – got that salty flair, not bad tasting; basil baguettes are flavored well: oregano rice crackers have a sweeter taste, followed by a slightly awkward after taste; garlic crotini are good, taste like a mild garlic croissant
Kern pops – I wish they were sweeter, but my mom says she liked them 🙂
Banana cream pie – a mix of chewy (dried) banana slices, itty-bitty fudge pieces, pecans and vanilla marshmallows; very good; the sweet was perfectly offset by the pecans
Peachy orchard – a mix of peach drops, rhubarb, and pear; sweet and slightly tangy, I liked it; good mix of gum drop, chewy, and dried fruit textures
Overall impressions:
The snacks are delicious, especially the banana cream pie mix. For the $1 in shipping cost that I paid, this Graze box is a good product. The price for 4 snacks as a regular sized box (not a trial one) is around $6.
While the trial box for $1 is a good introduction to the box, the snacks are single servings sizes and relatively small. I wouldn’t pay the $6 for the regular box with these sized portions. On the site, you can purchase 5 snack bags (4 servings each) for around $20, which I think is the better and more substantial deal.
